Order/ Purchase Policies
 

THESE ARE OUR POLICIES FOR ALL ORDERS AND/ OR PURCHASES.

FAILURE TO UNDERSTAND POLICIES DOES NOT EXEMPT YOU FROM POLICIES.

ALL OF THESE POLCIES APPLY TO ALL ORDERS/ PURCHASES.

THESE ARE MADE PUBLIC AS A KINDNESS, WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO DISCLOSE COMPANY POLICIES PRIOR TO PURCHASE.

Quotes are good for 30 days, after that time prices are subject to change.

​

To reserve your date for a cake we require this contract be signed as well as a $50 non-refundable deposit paid. Or a $500 deposit for 3D sculpted cakes. Or a $100 deposit for Weddings. This deposit is non-refundable, non-transferable and does go toward the price of your order.

​

All payments are final; no refunds are given for any reason.

​

If there is a governmental restriction requiring you to move the date of your event, we will do our best to move to your new date. This is dependent on our availability. A second deposit is required to book a new date. Both deposits will apply to your total if we are given at least 14 days’ notice. Changes after the 14 days will be handled in a case-by-case basis, depending on the status of the cake.

​

Delivery fees are determined based on the location of the event site. We will coordinate the delivery window with the reception site the week of & create our delivery schedule. We will contact you if the event is at your residence. We require a minimum of a 4 hour delivery window to be able to fit you into our schedule. Deliveries after 4pm have an additional fee.

​

Cupcakes are not set up unless the set-up fee is paid in full. If you opt not to pay the set-up fee, they will be delivered in a box for easy set up & left on the dessert table or in the kitchen.

​

We cannot control & are not responsible for what happens to our product after delivery or pick up. Heat & humidity are notorious for being rough on cakes. Condensation & Air Bubbles may occur. Although very rare, there is nothing we can do to predict or prevent this from happening.

​

Your design, flavors & number of servings must be finalized a minimum of 15 days prior to your party or 4 weeks prior to your wedding. We accept cash, check, or credit cards. Your contract will be void if it is not paid for in full, by this deadline & no refunds will be given.

​

All Stands are rentals. Your stand & any other equipment that is rented must be secured with a deposit when you finalize your order. We will hold a credit card number on file for this, we do not run it if the stand is returned on time & is not damaged. You are responsible for returning all rented items by the Wednesday following your reception. Our standard Security Deposit is $300.

​

There are a lot of different versions of colors, the best way for us to meet your expectation is to supply us with a physical color swatch. Swatches are not all equal, different fabrics & emailed color matches will range in color. Some icing colors darken after they are made, others are changed by sunlight. We cannot 100% guarantee a color match, but our decorators are experienced in meeting expectations.

Inspiration pictures may be used to ensure expectations on design choices. Cakes are decorated by hand by a cake artist. We cannot exactly replicate any design; all orders are subject to artistic interpretation.

​

We do not provide fresh or silk flowers for a cake. Flowers can be left at the cake table the day of the reception and we will put them on the cake at the time of delivery. Our staff has complete discretion to leave off flowers that are brown or wilted. If flowers are not available at the time of delivery, we are not responsible for placing them.

CLASS Terms & Conditions

CLASS POLICIES

-All Purchases are final. No refunds/ transfers will be given.

-Charges may appear on your statement as “WIX” or “Cake Artistry”.

-Some classes may end early; everyone decorates at a different pace. The first part of the class is for teaching, and the second part allows time for students to decorate.

-Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian, during the entire time of the class. We do have seating in the lobby. We do NOT allow drop offs.

-If for any reason classes must be cancelled you will be given a full refund (thankfully this has never happened).

-We welcome every level of student from beginners to professional cake artists.

-You cannot bring outside food to eat into the class. Beverages are welcome. No alcoholic beverages are permitted.

-You cannot bring outside cake/ decorating supplies into the bakery. We will supply everything that you will need for the class.

-Classic Cakes is not liable for injury or illness to any persons entering our property. We have taken all reasonable precautions to protect both employees & the public.

-Classic Cakes is not liable for any lost or damaged personal property.

COVID POLCIES

-Group Classes may not allow for ideal social distancing. To protect clients & employees, masks are recommended. We appreciate your understanding & kindness as we invite you into the behind the scenes of our small bakery space.

-If you are experiencing any cold/ COVID symptoms, or if you have been potentially exposed to someone with COVID you are NOT permitted to attend. Credit will be given for the full amount of your class.

COVID-19 Protocols

We have not stopped providing cakes or servings our community. To ensure we are able to follow social distancing guidelines in our small space we have decided on the following guidelines.

​

Help us maintain 6' distancing. Masks are required. Curbside pickup is available. Please be mindful that everyone's comfort level is different and we are trying our best. The safety & comfort of our staff & customers comes first. Thank you!

Curbside pickup will continue. When you pull up you can call the shop or ring the bell & we will bring the cake out for you.

Cake Tastings for Weddings.

Purchasing a ready made cake.

Our case of already decorated cakes is ready for you to walk in & purchase or we can hold one via phone call & bring it out curbside. Whatever you prefer.

COVID-19 PROTOCOL

As a small business in the food service industry, customer safety has been & always will be our top priority. The sanitation protocol that the CDC is recommending, we already implement, as part of our long-standing commitment to our community & staff. The Health Department requires all food service handlers to sign an Employee Health Policy, ensuring staff is educated and understands they are not permitted to work while ill.

We are increasing the frequency in which we sanitize commonly touched surfaces, such as door handles, touch screens, chairs & tables. Hand sanitizer is available in the lobby. Delivery & Curb Pick Up are available as well.

CANCELLATION POLICY 

​

I have a responsibility to ensure that my staff can continue to care for their families & pay their bills. To safeguard this, we need to have cancellation policies in place. We appreciate that cancellations may not be in your control either, so we have updated our policies to reflect grace.

​

  • All purchases are final & non-refundable. No refunds will be given, however full/ partial credit may be given if you are forced to cancel or downsize your event, due to a government mandate.

  • Credits are valid for 1 year.

  • Cakes can be kept refrigerated for up to 2 weeks or kept frozen for up to 1 year (if properly wrapped). Not all decorations will do well. We will advise on a case by case basis. 

  • Policies are subject to change as we get more information and/ or following government restrictions.

​

WEDDING DEPOSITS​

  • All purchases are final & non-refundable, however full/ partial credit may be given on a case by case basis.

  • We are allowing deposits to transfer dates, with two weeks notice, if government mandated restrictions are restricting your event.

  •  A second deposit is required to lock in your new date. Making your total deposit $200. This will go toward the total balance of your cake. 

  • This updated policy protects our schedule without penalty to you.

Our survival as a small business has always been dependent on our amazing customers. It is no different now.
